Email Inquiry

Kim Isaac Eisler is national editor of Digital Press International and a profile contributor to The Ten Leaders Cooperative. He is widely regarded as one of the pre-eminent legal journalists in the US. He is the author of four best-selling books on the law and lawyers, including his most recent book, Masters of the Game, on the clients and conflicts at Washington litigation powerhouse Williams & Connolly. Over his career he has won numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for his investigative and business stories. A native of Cincinnati, he grew up in Lynchburg, Va., and began his career covering courts, trials, and justice issues for The Delta (MS) Democrat Times and The Tampa Tribune. He later became a legal affairs writer and editor at The Los Angeles Daily Journal, American Lawyer Magazine, and Legal Times. For 18 years he served as the Legal and National Editor of Washingtonian Magazine. A graduate of The George Washington University, Kim worked his way through college in the early 70s as a copyboy for Time Magazine. He was one of the first journalists to learn of the 1972 break-in at the Watergate; when he alerted Time editors in New York, they responded "Passing on Watergate, Too Local." Today he is a frequent speaker and lecturer for law firms, associations and other groups interested in legal affairs. He is married to former Washington Post editor Judy Sarasohn. They live in Bethesda, Md. and have a daughter, Sara Sophie Eisler.
